College at Glance
This college was established on August 16, 1989 by the then chief minister of the un-divided state of madhya Pradesh, shri Motilal Vora. The college is situated in the rural hinterland of the state and serves the local population of the adjacent ateas. The students come to the collage for getting quality education from nearly villages.

As per the order of the Government of Madhya Pradesh a Janbhagidari Samiti , was formed in the year 1996-1997 which renders assistance from time to time in the development of the college and also in solving problems that the College may come across. Most of the students under the SC, ST and OBC categories are being given scholarships by the State Government.

The College got its construction of 5 rooms by the finacial aid provided by Shri Chandulal Chandrakar, the member of Parliament. The College building was inaugrated on February 6, 2008. Further, under the Eleventh 5-year Plan, UGC had allocated a sum of Rs. Seventy Lacs to the College for the purchase of equipments and books, and for the constructoion of additional classrooms. The newly constructed extra classrooms made with the RUSA  budget of two crore. Two new laboratories are constructing.


At present more then 1700 students have taken admission in various branches of studies in both UG and PG levels. The Institution has curricular subjects such as Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in the Science stream and Hindi Literature, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, Geography, Hindi Language, English Language and Foudation courses in the arts stream. In the PG level, we have Political Science, Sociology, Hindi, Economics, Geography, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematic and Commerce.

The college has two units of 150 students in the NSS for the co-curricular activities. The NSS UNIT organize annual camps in the nearby villages . The Red-Cross society of the college is also active, and It organizes blood donation camps, and health awareness camp, it disseminates of health awareness in the general population from time to time.

There are various NSS activities performed in the annual camp.

The College is quite active in the area of games and with both indore and outdore facilities of sports . Students participate in games like kho-kho, Kabaddi,Cricket,Badminton and Table-tennis and in events like cross-country race and swimming. They have brought fame to the college at the University, state  and even national level by their successful performance from time to time.

The college has got a well-stocked library with collection of nearly 23000 books, journals and periodicals of state and national reach, both in Hindi and English languages. The students can refer to reading material of their choice for preparation for competitive examinations, and also to upgrade their intellectual level. Under the Book-Bank Scheme, the students of SC, ST and OBC categories are provided books as per their need. The library has got its own building which is being extended further to house more reading material & reading room and to add more class rooms.

An additional grant of Rs. 50 lacs has been sanctioned by UGC for the modernization of five existing science laboratories. Also a 20-bed hostel has been constructed to cater to girl students who come to the college for their studies from far flung rural areas.

Under the heads of the Student Union and the PG Council many cultural and literary activities are being regularly organized which prove to be very useful for the overall development of the students. Guest-lectures are also organized by eminent experts from relevant fields to widen the intellectual horizons of the students.

The Institute has internet facilities in various departments and the students are being provided free computer education. Emphasis is given for inclusion of girl students for such an exposure. Separate computer labs have been established e.g. Maths Lab, English Lab etc. to expand the reach of computer literacy.

Science exhibitions, model making contests, quiz competitions etc. are organized on a regular basis for developing analytical, research and innovative outlook amongst the students.

The college has got an anti-ragging committee to control this undesirable trend , but the students themselves are so disciplined that the intervention of this body is not required. The general atmosphere is peaceful, congenial and academic.

IQAC Cell has been formed for overall development of students and the college in general. The staff is devoted and committed to achieve the academic and developmental goals set up by the Government.

The college organizes career - oriented programs, workshops and seminars for the overall growth of students. The College has plan to make students them aware of the overall job scenario and prepare them for a successful launch into the post-academic life.

The College publishes an annual college magazine named MANASI . The magazine includes articles of students and the faculty, and general information about the activities of the college .The alumni of the college are invited to participate in various functions which leads to knowledge and  information sharing and better bonhomie amongst our former and present students.

The college Situated in the rural area is taking long strides towards developments. Our approach is research-oriented and we strive for the overall development of students. We envision that the College will be the best college in state and it will play a dominant role in the development of the region.
